Native Habitat: Asia:
Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and the Indo-Malaysian archipelago.
Reported from Nepal, Cambodia, Viet Nam and Sri Lanka.
Temperament: Males are a little
aggressive, certainly when breeding with females. Therefore best kept in
trios, rather than pairs.
Feeding: Some flake foods high in protein and
adult brine shrimp, along with live foods such as
grindal worms,
white worms,
Daphnia,
Moina, and newly
hatch brine shrimp nauplii
Sexing:
Males more colorful and with display fins
